A message from our founders

As a father-daughter duo, we're blessed to be a family business, but we are a soccer family first. We have lived experience of soccer's unique power to unite communities, inspire growth and change lives, which is why it is our mission to support and grow the game we love from the ground up. To empower the next generation of players to be their best selves both on and off the field, we're creating an educative support system that fosters a collaborative environment between coaches, parents and players.

Community connection is at the heart of what we do. By utilizing our modern communication tool, together we'll create inspirational, educational and world-class content for your soccer families. Speak to your community, promote your philosophies  - spread the word!

Values we live and work by

01

Education

Education

A shared purpose to constantly improve and grow together

As a young company, we have an insatiable curiosity around our product-market fit because we only ever want to do the “right thing” by our soccer club community. We are stronger together, and we will learn together through our podcast ecosystem that facilitates learning by lowering the barrier for youth clubs to gain access to the world's top players, coaches and thought leaders.

02

Community

Community

We harness the powers of community and soccer to make a positive impact on the world we live in

We're building our community of clubs with one goal in mind: to have a positive impact on the game. We don't have all the answers but we do know that by working collaboratively with clubs, we'll learn what content empowers a connection and learning between coaches, parents and players. We are building a collaborative culture, a supportive ecosystem, a strong and trusted community - and we’d love for you to get involved.

03

Empowerment

Empowerment

We help clubs turn today’s actions into tomorrow’s impact

By providing world-class interviews across multiple youth development topics, we empower clubs to effectively spread the core messages and key learnings they want to communicate to their club community. We believe in making every person within a club feel valued and important, encouraging the ideal that soccer is a team sport with far-reaching benefits beyond the game.

FAQs

What type of content should the club record?

Everything from club news and upcoming events to club philosophies, culture and curricula. We're building out a shared learning centre for clubs to learn from one another on content ideas - things that worked, things that didn't work, things to try, things to avoid. We'll help you every step of the way.

How can I sign up my club?

Please fill out our contact form and we'll set up a call to give you more info!

Are we allowed to promote the podcast on social media?

Absolutely! We'll share a video snippet with you each week so that you can give your social media audience a taster for the podcast content.

What products are in the Team Taca store?

It'll be a curated soccer store with Soccer.com products but you can add products of your local sponsor, too.

What topics will be covered in the podcast?

We're taking a 360 approach to youth soccer development, which means we'll be covering every topic from soccer skills to mental health. Our club community informs us on the most important topics for their soccer families, and those topics are what we'll produce.

When is the first podcast being released?

Season 1, Episode 1 is launching in August 2023.

How many podcasts are produced per year?

There will be 40 podcast shows per year with club segments every second week. This gives your elected host enough time to capture high quality content, build out the key learnings and maximize the podcast content's reach.

How often are podcasts released?

Podcasts are released every Friday, making it easy for parents and players to listen to the podcasts together en route to a game over the weekend.

What if we’re really busy and can’t get our club segment to you in time for editing?

With 2 weeks to play with, this hopefully won't happen but do not worry - in our initial set-up we'll have developed a fall-back position to ensure the show still runs seamlessly.

We’ve no podcast production experience - does this matter?

Not at all! We make premium podcasts accessible to youth soccer clubs by taking over the bulk of the work. We'll teach you the tricks of the trade for the club segment so that you can focus on other areas of your work.

How much does it cost my club to have a Team Taca podcast?

This depends on your club's requirements. Contact us so that we can jump on a call to figure this out together.

Can we attract local sponsorship for the podcast?

Yes, and we're here to help you do just that to the best of your ability. We'll provide you with a sponsorship playbook that details the value of the various audio ads, banners and product spaces for your local sponsorship opportunity.

What type of guests will be interviewed?

The world's top players, coaches, backroom staff and thought leaders. Dream big! Nobody is out of reach for Team Taca.

Who edits the club section of the podcast?

Team Taca. All you need to do is send us your audio file, which is a simple upload process. We'll show you exactly how to do this during onboarding.

How much time and effort is it going to take my club?

Minimal effort is the goal, although we feel that you'll get out of the podcast what you put into it. It shouldn't take any longer than 20 minutes per week to plan then record your segment.

How long is each podcast?

No more than 40 minutes, which is in line with global best practices.

How do you ensure only my club community gets access to my club's podcast?

We protect club content via a code-based verification process. When members download the Team Taca app, you will have given them a code to verify their membership on sign up. Without this unique code, they cannot access your club's content.

Is the club podcast available to the general public? e.g., Spotify & iTunes?

No, this is the beauty of your club's podcast. It's for your club community only so you can reinforce club messaging, culture and philosophy. We can open access to the podcast to your wider community e.g., sponsors, coaches families etc., but the content is protected at all times.

How do parents & kids listen to the podcast?

Everyone can listen to the podcast via the Team Taca app. Members can download episodes and listen offline or our recommendation is parents and players listen to the podcast together on the way to training or a game.

Still have questions?

Matt Lacey

VSA Director of Soccer

"Here at VSA, we wanted to take our time to thank our partners Team Taca for providing us with another avenue to promote our values, culture, and DNA. We are looking forward to the 23/24 season and implementing the podcast into our football periodization and curriculum."

John O'Rourke

Mon U Executive VP

“Normally we would [share club information] through an email or a newsletter, but with Team Taca, we could get interviews with the key people within the club, which are our parents, players and coaches … If you’re looking for somewhere to get a good podcast with great content and professional staff, please contact the people at Team Taca.”
